  • UTCNYCC hosted a meeting at Eastern Trends on January 30, 2006 for 2006 Chinese New Year planning. A Meeting Minutes memo was drafted.


  • The biggest event in the Chinese Community for the year---UTAH Chinese New Year Celebration will kick off at 6PM, February 11, Saturday, at East High School at 840 S 1300 E. It is sponsored by many local Chinese organizations and our honorable sponsors.


  • On the January 29, Sunday, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM, Danny Dong will host a Chinese New Year celebration Chinese movie music concert in Salt Lake City downtown library auditorium.


  • You, your family and friends are cordially invited to our Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration starting at 1:00 PM at the Salt Lake City main library (400 S 200 E) on this Saturday January 28, 2006. Our CNY program will consist of Chinese cultural performances, displays, calligraphy, crafts, and more. This is a great opportunity for the general public and our children to learn more about our Chinese culture. This is also a good time for all of us to enjoy a live entertainment for free. Seats are limited in the auditorium.

  • We have been confirmed that a group of students from Beijing Normal University will perform on the stage for the 2006 Utah Chinese New Year Celebration. We thank the Utah governor's and senator's offices for their support and assistance.


  • UTCNYCC hosted a meeting at Eastern Trends on January 16, 2006 for 2006 Chinese New Year planning. A Meeting Minutes memo was drafted.


  • The Chinese Association of Science and Technology Utah Chapter (CAST-UT or Ke-Xie) annual luncheon meeting is scheduled to be held on January 15, 2006, at the Golden Phoenix Restaurant in Salt Lake City. CAST-UT has accomplished a lot in helping the science and technology exchanges between China and the United States, promoting Chinese culture to other communities in Utah , hosting local Chinese community activities and helping create a positive image for our Chinese people.
